Regardless of whether you are new to photography and are still trying to master your camera settings, or you are more experienced and are looking to drill down into the specifics of a particular photography genre, spending a day with professional photographer Paul David Smith will help you to grow your photography knowledge and improve your photos in no time at all.
Paul tailors all of this courses to focus on the areas of photography that you want to improve the most, ensuring that you get maximum value from your training day. There is no technical jargon to confuse you, just simple, easy to understand ideas and methods which are cemented into your everyday routines through a series of practical exercises.
Paul will ask you to send through a list of things that you currently struggle with and any areas that you would like to improve upon. From this he will construct a tailored 1 day photography workshop which is designed to ensure you leave the course with the new skills and knowledge you need along with a clear plan with what you’ll need to practice going forwards in order for it to stick and become second nature.
Whether you’d like to focus on product photography, portraits, weddings, landscapes, street photography or simply get to understand your camera better, Paul’s experience of working as a professional photographer since 2008 means he’ll be able to guide you in the right direction.
A few examples of what you could learn on this workshop:
You will not meet somebody who focuses as much time and attention towards photography and filmmaking as Paul does, it has quite simply dominated his life since a very early age and there is nothing he enjoys more than sharing his learnings with others and seeing them progressing on their own photography journey.
Paul has been lucky enough to work with some large clients such as the BBC, SKY, National Geographic and many others. During this time he’s travelled the world with his photography overcoming a wealth of photographic challenges for his clients. It’s these years of experience he relies upon in order to help people progress with their own photography.
He’d describe himself as a very relaxed person who runs informal workshops where people are encouraged to get involved, ask questions, make mistakes and most importantly learn in a fun and friendly environment.
