FAQ’s
How Many People Can Attend?
This course is for groups between 3 and 10 people. For larger groups, please get in contact for a quote. Just 2 of you? Have a look at our 1-2-1 training course which allows up to 2 people to attend.
Where Will This Training Take Place?
We can run the training session at your venue or secure a venue to run the training from at an additional cost of £150.00 for the full day. You’ll need to pay the venue directly, we’ll arrange this with you once you’ve booked if required.
Do I Need Certain Skills Or Equipment To Attend?
Please bring your camera(s) with a fully charged battery, lenses and any accessories that you use frequently with you. If you could also bring with you a selection of images that you have taken then that would be really helpful to allow us to get an understanding of your current level.
Can You Recommend Camera Equipment For Me Prior To Me Attending?
I get a lot of requests for help with camera equipment recommendations, almost daily in fact and offer a Personalised Photography Equipment Recommendation service which you can find by clicking here.
Recommending a camera and the best lenses to buy really has lots of different factors involved in it which need to be investigated first such as what the equipment will be most used for, budgets, your expectations on image quality, your current level and aspirations, etc. Hence the above service so we can really drill down into finding you the best equipment.
Alternatively, some people attend my courses and borrow a camera from me for the day to do so, we can then incorporate this recommendation as part of the course at no extra cost. The benefit of doing it this way is that I have a lot of cameras and lenses you can try and see the difference between prior to purchasing anything. The downside is your not learning on your own equipment of course, so there are pluses and minuses to doing it both ways, it depends on what you think works best for you.

Mark White –
We are a fashion company who had been looking to improve our own in house photography abilities and hired Paul to come along for the day and teach the team how to shoot both lifestyle and studio based product shots. Paul’s knowledge is incredible, no question we asked him was left unanswered and it’s clear he’s been there, done that and got the t-shirt as so to speak. The entire team came away buzzing about what they had learn’t and are now keen to put there new skills into practice.
Ross Hambly –
Our boss had challenged us to start doing our own product photography for our eCommerce website which seemed straight forward enough in theory, but I don’t think any of us realised how difficult it would be to get photos that looked good. We had no choice but to call in a professional and Paul came to our offices to teach us where we were going wrong. He covered camera settings, studio lighting, composition and editing in this 1-day training session and all 6 of us finished the course saying how impressed we were and how much more confident we were to actually start doing it ourselves. We’ve since taken photos that we are now using on our website and everybody in the business is really pleased with the results. A great one day course, thanks Paul.
